Discover the Hidden Charms of Nanbu Town

Nestled at the foot of Mount Daisen in Tottori Prefecture, Nanbu Town is a tranquil haven with a population of just 10,000. Far from the bustling cities of Tokyo and Osaka, this town offers a glimpse into traditional Japanese life, where nature and culture harmoniously intertwine.

My Journey Back Home

I ventured beyond its borders to explore the world. In 2016, I returned, drawn by the deep connection and unique spirit of this place. What I discovered was the enduring essence of "Native Japanese" living—values and lifestyles that have gracefully withstood the test of time.

Embracing the Rhythm of Satoyama Life

n Nanbu Town, life flows like the natural water cycle—rain falls on the mountains, becomes rivers, and returns to the sea. This cycle mirrors the satoyama lifestyle, where daily routines are in tune with nature's rhythms, and simple acts are performed with heartfelt care.

This site is your gateway to experiencing the authentic rural life of Nanbu Town. Through immersive programs and shared stories, I invite you to connect with the land, the people, and the timeless traditions that define this remarkable town.
